Chapter 2: The Day the Universe Said - "Surprise! You're an Author!"

Some plot twists don’t arrive with fireworks. Sometimes they show up in a small brown package that looks far too ordinary for what it’s about to change.
If the first chapter of my journey was about finding my voice again after a decade of silence, this moment was when life quietly nudged me and said, here you go… you’re ready.
It began with a doorbell and a courier who had no idea he was handing over something that carried ten years of hope. I wasn’t expecting anything meaningful that day, but the second the parcel touched my hand, something shifted. I opened it with the concentration of someone handling delicate history.
Inside was my poetry collection, Chasing the Sun. Paperback. Real. Warm with ink, effort, and all the versions of me who kept trying even when writing felt impossibly far away.
Seeing my name on the cover felt like time folding in on itself. A title that had lived in my notes and late-night drafts now existed in the world, no longer a dream but a tangible reminder that creative comebacks are possible.
What struck me most was this: the book wasn’t just a book. It was proof that words return, creativity heals, and long silences don’t mean endings. Each poem carried a piece of healing, heartbreak, hope, and the stubborn belief that I still had something to say.
Of course, my brain added its usual commentary - Should I sniff it? What if there’s a typo? Will readers connect with it? Normal overthinking, even in magic.
But one thing was clear. Holding that book changed how I saw myself. I hadn’t just come back to writing. I had risen.
Sometimes the biggest turning points arrive quietly. Mine came in a cardboard box.
